Use own MIRRORS for bitbake in Yocto

Hello everybody,
today I’ll quickly show how to replace the default MIRRORS defined in the bitbake configuration (meta/conf/bitbake.conf) without touching it. This can be useful if you have for example no ftp access and you don’t want to change the default bitbake configuration.

Therefore we choose the GNU_MIRROR (which is by default ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu) and change it to a non-ftp URL.

To change/replace the MIRROR URL just add and export another definition to conf/local.conf in your build directory. So the change to a non-ftp GNU_MIRROR would look like this:

export GNU_MIRROR = "http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu"

Thanks for reading!
